The Ford Explorer continues to be a favorite SUV among critics, drivers and our entire team at Bob Thomas Ford Lincoln North. It seats up to seven, holds a bunch of cargo and boasts impressive fuel economy. Today's Ford Explorer is also a textbook example of cutting edge tech features.
Safer Than Ever
The Ford Explorer shares the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of drive assist tech with its fellow fleet members. Now standard on Ford vehicles, the suite includes the ahead-of-trend feature called Pre-Collision Assist. This feature detects and anticipates potential collisions up ahead and issues visual or audible alerts. If you can't slow or brake in time, the Ford Explorer engages Automatic Emergency Braking to prevent or mitigate a collision.
The Blind Spot Information System
Called BLIS, this feature utilizes lasers and scanners on the Ford Explorer's exterior to detect vehicles that enter either of your blind spots. Armed with this information, you can merge or change lanes in a much safer, more timely manner.
