Ford is introducing Crystal Diamond Light to several new models this year. No, not the powdered drink flavoring mix.
Crystal Diamond Light is LED headlight technology debuting on the Ford F-150 and Ford Fusion this year. Compared with a halogen lamp, it uses less energy, produces brighter, bluer light, and is easier to create streamlined headlight designs with.
In addition to these benefits, Ford is making one extraordinary claim: Crystal Diamond Light makes you happier.
According to Ford lighting ergonomists, contrast irregularities and gradients in lighting can strain the eye and upset mood. Several studies also back up the fact that low-lighting in the workplace leads to irritability and lower productivity. The brighter, more even dispersion on light provided by Ford's new LED system may in fact make you feel better.
At the very least, it will definitely help you see better.
